Commitment in Action

The VinylPlus 2030 Commitment is implemented through concrete action across the European PVC value chain.

From recycling projects and innovation programmes to product stewardship, certification, traceability and scientific studies, VinylPlus works with partners to advance circularity, reduce environmental impacts and support responsible use of PVC in Europe.

This section shows how the Commitment is translated into measurable progress, practical projects and collaborative initiatives.

Progress Towards the Commitment

VinylPlus reports annually on progress towards the 2030 Commitment, covering circularity, controlled-loop management, decarbonisation, responsible production, stakeholder engagement and transparency.

The Progress Report provides data, examples and independent monitoring of how the European PVC value chain is moving from commitment to implementation.

Circularity

PVC circularity depends on durable products, efficient collection, high-quality recycling and the safe use of recycled PVC in new applications.

VinylPlus supports initiatives that improve collection, sorting, recycling technologies, traceability and the use of recyclate across key PVC sectors such as pipes, windows, flooring, cables, and medical devices.

Projects and Initiatives

VnylPlus supports targeted projects, initiatives and studies across Europe to address practical challenges and accelerate circular solutions.

These activities include recycling pilots, digital product passports, advanced sorting, healthcare and packaging projects, technology development and sector-specific action plans.

Innovation

Innovation is essential to make the PVC value chain more circular, competitive and future-proof.

VinylPlus supports the development of new technologies, improved recycling routes, safer additives, digital tools, lower-carbon solutions and applications that contribute to Europe’s green and industrial transitions.
