Coalitions and Partnerships
VinylPlus works with companies, institutions, civil society, academia and other value-chain organisations to accelerate the sustainable transformation of PVC.
Through transparent reporting, independent oversight, sustainability certification, stakeholder dialogue and joint projects, VinylPlus helps connect the European PVC value chain with wider societal priorities — from circularity and climate action to affordable housing, healthcare and resilient infrastructure.
This work is central to Pathway 3 of the VinylPlus 2030 Commitment: Building Coalitions and Partnering for the SDGs.

Transparency and Accountability
VinylPlus publishes an independently verified Progress Report every year, providing a transparent overview of progress towards the VinylPlus 2030 Commitment. The VinylPlus Monitoring Committee provides independent oversight, supporting transparency, participation and accountability.

Certified and Traceable Products
VinylPlus sustainability certifications help companies demonstrate sustainability performance, support responsible sourcing and respond to market and procurement expectations. This includes the VinylPlus® Product Label and VinylPlus® Supplier Certificates.

Stakeholder Dialogue
VinylPlus creates platforms for dialogue across the PVC value chain and with external stakeholders, including the VinylPlus Sustainability Forum, national events, seminars and international conferences.

Healthcare Collaboration
VinylPlus Healthcare drives innovation, responsible material use and circularity in medical PVC applications.
These initiatives support collaboration across hospitals, recyclers, manufacturers, pharmacies and research partners, showing how selected PVC healthcare products such as medical devices and pharmaceutical blister packaging can be collected, sorted and recycled while maintaining strict safety requirements.

Sustainable Sporting Events
VinylPlus Italia works with institutions and sports organisations to promote circular PVC solutions for large events, including temporary installations, visual elements and other event-related applications.
The project explores how PVC products used at events can be designed, collected and recycled after use.

Affordable Housing
PVC applications can contribute to affordable and sustainable building through durable, recyclable and cost-effective solutions for windows, pipes, flooring, roofing, cables and other construction products.
VinylPlus supports dialogue on how circular PVC products can contribute to Europe’s housing agenda through long service life, low maintenance, resource efficiency and recyclability.

Sports and Community Engagement
VinylPlus has worked with the sports community to raise awareness of reuse, recycling and responsible material use at events.
Initiatives such as She Runs – Active Girls’ Lead, the European Week of Sport and Yoga Day demonstrated how PVC products used in sports and events — including flooring, banners and yoga mats — can be reused, donated or recycled after use.
The project explores how PVC products used at events can be designed, collected and recycled after use.

Construction Waste and Training
The Waste Recycling Project (WREP) promoted by VinylPlus Italia shows how cooperation between the PVC value chain, municipal multiutilities, construction associations, recyclers and public authorities can improve the collection and recycling of post-consumer PVC.
The project also supports training to improve identification, sorting and recycling of PVC among current and future construction professionals.

Water Resilience and Infrastructure
VinylPlus Pipes has developed communication tools showing how PVC pipes contribute to resilient, climate-adapted infrastructure across drinking water, wastewater, stormwater, energy and industrial applications.
These activities help policymakers, utilities, NGOs and the wider public understand how durable and recyclable PVC piping systems support essential services and long-term infrastructure resilience.

Global Dialogue
VinylPlus contributes to international discussions on plastics and circularity. As an observer organisation to the United Nations Environment Programme, VinylPlus has participated in negotiations towards an international legally binding instrument on plastic pollution.
This engagement supports cooperation with other regional PVC associations through the Global Vinyl Council and provides opportunities to exchange knowledge with negotiators, observers and stakeholders from around the world.
Working Together for Sustainable PVC
VinylPlus’ partnerships show how the European PVC value chain can work beyond traditional industry boundaries.
By connecting companies, recyclers, policymakers, researchers, civil society and local communities, VinylPlus supports practical solutions for circularity, climate action, healthcare, infrastructure, sustainable construction and responsible material use.
This collaborative model is central to the VinylPlus 2030 Commitment and to the industry’s contribution to a more resilient, competitive and circular Europe.
