VinylPlus® welcomes the opportunity to provide validated information to ECHA’s second call for evidence on PVC and its additives published on 2 November 2022.

We fully support a rigorous, comprehensive, and science-based investigation process and look forward to contributing to the ECHA investigation report and working together with ECHA and the European Commission within a science - and risk-based framework.

We consider the current debate as an opportunity for the industry to demonstrate that PVC and its additives are not only produced, used, and recycled sustainably but also bring many safety, health, environmental, and sustainability benefits to European society.

PVC articles (rigid and flexible) bring sustainable benefits in sectors such as building and construction, transportation, healthcare, and digital economy.

The PVC value chain is committed to contributing proactively to the success of the EU Green Deal and the Circular Economy Action Plan. VinylPlus will continue to collaborate with ECHA to provide feedback to the call for evidence and provide reliable scientific data.
